I wake up feeling strange. I open my eyes, but can't place the strange feeling until I start to get up. I always sleep naked. Two large breasts dangle from my chest. My normally short brown hair has become long. I can feel it on my back. My body has become hairless. I was in lot of confusion and I thought I was in a dream . But I went into the bathroom and stood infront of my mirror .I'm also a bit smaller, both in height and build. I look down at my crotch and see the only hair on my body, pubic hair in a triangle patch above my new vagina. My penis and testicles are gone. Then I saw my new face. I resemble my Mom now. A few tears come to my eyes as I think of my Mom. She left me, my brother, father for work . I take a few seconds to calm down and hold back the tears. I need to focus. I turned into a woman overnight. How? What should I do now? There is a knock on my door. "Sunny?" I hear my older brother, Mohit, call my name. "Aren't you going to be late for coaching?" I'm 22 and I will go to institute and study all day and I'm more punctual than most people. Mohit must have noticed that I haven't started my usual morning routine. "Are you okay?!" he calls through the door. I'm not sure how to answer. Won't he just be confused if he hears a woman's voice answer back? "I'm starting to get worried," he says. After a few moments he says, "I'm coming in." I panic as I try to think of what to do. I decided cover my self using blanket. I take too long to decide and Mohit opens the door. He looks at me, a woman sitting on his brother's bed, in complete confusion. "Oh, um, hi," she says, "I didn't know Sunny bought a girl home last night. I'm his brother, Mohit. Do you know where he is?" I briefly think about my options. I love and trust Mohit. He is my brother after all.
I'm in a really confusing situation and I could
really use some help. I decide to tell him the truth. "This is going to
sound crazy, but I'm Sunny."
"But you're a woman," he points out.
"I know. That's why I said it was going to sound crazy. I woke up like
this. Please, Mohit, you have to believe me. I'm so close to completely
freaking out," I tell him.
"Hmm, tell me something only Sunny would know," he says.
I think for a moment before saying, "Remember when I was borrowing
Dad's laptop, back when we only had the one, and I tripped and broke
it. I freaked out and we thought that Dad would beat when he found out.
I was so scared, but you protected me. You lied and said it was you,
because you were certain Dad wouldn't hit you ."
"We agreed to never tell anyone about that," she says, "You really are Sunny, but how did you turn into a woman overnight? Did you ingest
something weird or do you remember something strange happening to you?"
"No," I say, "I didn't do anything differently yesterday. I have no
idea whatsoever why I turned into a woman."
Before we can continue our conversation, my younger sister, Priya,
comes walking into my room. She is only 16 and Mohit is 24. Priya is
looking at her phone, so, as she enters, she doesn't see me
immediately, and she says, "Did you guys see the news? Apparently, in
the last 24 hours millions of people all over the world magically
changed genders. I'm not sure I believe it-," She stops speaking as she
looks up from her phone and sees me.
"Holy shit," she says, "DId Sunny turn into a woman?"
"Yes," I say.
"Oh my God," she says, "That's so cool. I bet all my friends will be
jealous that I personally know someone who was changed."
"Priya, this is serious," Mohit says.
"Right, right," she says, "So who's taking me to school?"
She seems to have already gotten used to this, while I'm still just
sitting here in shock. Mohit puts his hand to head and sighs. "I will."
Normally, I drop Priya off at school on my way to coaching. Priya's a
sophomore in high school, Mohit works from home, and I graduated from
college a year ago. We all live rent free at our childhood home with our Dad. Dad has a construction company and he had lot of business trips so that's where he is right now.
Priya leaves my room so she can continue getting ready for school. Mohit says to me, "Just stay right here. I'm going to bring you some of Priya clothes. They'll probably fit you better than yours."
She briefly leaves me alone in my room, only to return moments later
with some clothes. She hands me them. It's a bit embarrassing, having
to put on her panties, but they feel soft and comfortable at least. Her
shirt doesn't fit me very well, as my breasts are bigger than hers. The
jeans she gives me do fit pretty well as we're about the same height
now.
Priya comes back into my room and says, "I'm ready to go." To me she
says, "I'll see you later, Sis. You know, I don't think Sunny really
fits anymore. You should think of a more feminine name. I'll help, let
me think of suggestions at school."
She heads downstairs before I can get a word in edgewise. Mohit is still
here with me and says, "I'm sorry, Sunny. I haven't heard anything from
her school so it's safe to assume classes are still happening. Don't
worry, though. Just stay here and when I get back, we are going to have
a very serious discussion about what to do."
"Okay," I say, "Thanks Mohit." He smiles and says, "Of course." I think he feels guilty about
smiling as she quickly drops it. "I'm sorry this has happened. We'll
figure something out." He heads downstairs and I hear the front door
open and shut.
With them gone, I just sit on my bed again, and wonder what to do.
I
realize my work is probably still expecting me so I grab my phone and
call my coaching Madam, Madhu.
She picks up after a few rings, "Hey, Sunny. What's up?"
"Did you see the news this morning?" I ask.
"You mean that crazy thing about people's genders changing?" she asks.
"Um, yeah," I say, "It, um, happened to me. I'm not going to make it to coaching today."
"What?! Really?!" she asks, "I guess that's why your voice sounds
weird."
"Yeah," I say.
"Okay then. I understand. Take all the time you need,," she says.
There's a brief moment of silence, probably because she isn't sure what
to say. She ends up saying, "Um, good luck. Bye."
"Bye," I say as I end the call. I'll probably not go back into coaching for
a while, if ever.
I check the internet for news about what happened. Priya was right.
It's all anyone online is talking about. Spontaneous gender changes
happened all across the world. I watch a video where the camera is
focused on some guy, but some random woman in the background starts to
change. The camera focuses on her as she changes into a man.
As I continue to scour the internet I see tons of different reactions
to this. Trans people blaming transphobes, transphobes blaming trans
people. Weirdo nut job conspiracies claiming the government did it.
That it was to balance the amount of men and women in the world. That
it's the sign of the beginning of the end.
I put my phone down and just lie on my bed. I think about what Priya said. She hasn't taken this seriously, but what she said isn't wrong.
Nobody seems to know yet how or why this happened and if it can be
reversed. I need to seriously consider the possibility that I'll be
stuck like this. If that is the case, I need to think of how my life
will be, now that I'm female.
As I lie there thinking about things, Mohit returns home with priya. He comes
upstairs and asks me, "Do you want to watch the news? Maybe we'll learn
something new."
I nod my head and the three of us go to our living room. Mohit turns on the
news and we watch them discuss this large spontaneous world wide gender
change. They promise to keep their viewers informed of any new
developments.
As we sit there, I realize that I never peed after I woke up and my
bladder is starting to hurt. However, I feel nervous and weird about
going. I get Priya's attention, "I have to go pee." She looks at me as if to say, why'd you tell me, before he gets it.
Her face lights up as she says, "Right. Um, just make sure to wipe
after. Otherwise you might get an infection."
"Oh, okay, thanks," I say.
I go into the bathroom. At first, out of habit, I stand in front of the
toilet. I realize my mistake and lower the seat, turn around, pull my
pants and underwear down, and sit on the seat. Letting it out is
normal, but sitting down and wiping afterwards is pretty weird. Also,
not being able to aim is very strange. It's so much more passive than
when I did it as a guy.
When I exit the bathroom, Priya asks, "Everything good?"
"Yeah, it was fine. Just a bit different I guess," I say.
"I just want to say again how sorry I am that this happened," she tells
me, "It's not fair."
"No, but there isn't anything we can do about it right now. Let's just
keep watching," I say.
"You're taking this surprisingly well," she says.
"I guess so," I say, "For some reason, it isn't bothering me as much as
I thought it would."
"That's good," Mohit says, but she still seems worried. That's just like
her. Ever since Mom left, He's always worrying about Piper and I.
The news doesn't add anything new and after a couple hours I say, "I
was planning on taking a shower this morning. I doubt the news will say
anything while I do. Though I feel a bit weird about showering with my
new body."
"I guess you might as well," Mohit says, "Unfortunately, for all we know
this is permanent. You might as well get used to your new body now."
I head into the bathroom and turn the water on. I take off the clothes Priya gave me and head into the shower. It's very strange, washing my new
body parts. My new breasts and vagina feel sensitive as I wash them. I
briefly consider playing with them, but decide I'm not willing to take
that step quite so soon.
I turn off the shower and step out to dry off. As I do, I catch a
glimpse of my naked body in the mirror. I look very attractive and
beautiful. It gives me an odd sense of satisfaction. I can't quite
place why.
When I've dried off, I just put on the clothes Priya gave me earlier, as
I hadn't worn them for very long. With nothing better to do, Mohit starts
working while Priya and I continue to watch the news. Priya turns to me and says, "I thought of a bunch of names. Sandy, Shruti, Shauna, and Shania. If you don't like any of
these, I could think of more."
"I kind of like Shruti," I say.
"Then we'll go with Shruti," she says.
Before we can keep talking we hear our Dad's car pull into the
driveway. Mohit says, "Let me tell him, so you don't just surprise him."
I head upstairs with Priya and we wait. I hear the front door open.
After a moment, Mohit calls for me. I walk downstairs while Priya waits
at the top of the steps. She'll probably eavesdrop on our conversation.
I walk to the room Dad is in and say, "H-hey, Dad. It's me."
"So the pussy now has a pussy," he laughs.
"U-uh, yeah," I say, sheepishly.
"Well, there a cure?" he asks.
"W-we, uh, don't know yet," I say.
"Well, don't get it unless it's free," he says, "Mohit, when's dinner?"
"I'll have it ready soon," he says.
Mohit heads to the kitchen, Dad kicks his shoes off and sits down to
watch TV on the couch, and I head back upstairs. I see Priya fuming.
She follows me into my room and angrily says, "I've told you and Mohit plenty of times that you shouldn't let him treat you like that."
My father has never really liked me. He wanted a son who would either
follow in his footsteps and mange his company . He was disappointed
when I turned out to be a weak nerd. He's never liked that I and Mohit work at other places . He often tends to put me down. I never talk back, though. I guess
I'm just a pushover. Mohit is the same way. Priya isn't, but she's too
young to have any real say in anything. We are also afraid that since
we live rent free under his roof, if we ever talk back, we might get
thrown out. None of us can afford that.
We've had this argument before and I just say, "Can you just drop it? I
have enough to deal with."
"Fine," she says, clearly still angry. She takes a deep breath and
seems to calm down. Then she took mobile out and I was freaked out. But she didn't even listen to me and took a selfie and we saw side by side, so it's obvious we're
sisters."
Priya walks over to the window, where the light is the best. She holds
her phone up, poses in a cute way, and takes a another selfie.
"I guess you want another one," I say.
Priya looks at me like I'm an idiot and says, "No, no, no. The lighting
is all wrong, you're not wearing any makeup, and what is with that
outfit? Did Mohit give that to you?" Priya shakes her head, "I love him,
but Mohit has no sense for fashion. Let me help you."
"I don't know," I say, "Is all that stuff really necessary?"
"Yes," she says, "Well, I mean, technically no. Don't you want to look good? Trust me, your little sister is an expert.
You should listen to me and let me teach you the ropes."
"I guess if I'm going to be a woman I might as well look my best," I
say, "I'll let you teach me."
"Yay!" Priya exclaims, "You won't regret this. Come to my room, I'll do
your makeup. We can't do anything about the outfit since we don't have
any clothes for your new body so what you're wearing will have to do."
I follow Piper into her room where she has me sit down at her vanity.
Priya starts to expertly apply a variety of makeup to my face. As she
does each one, she briefly explains its purpose, followed by how to
best apply it for maximum effect.
She starts with what she calls a primer, a lightweight gel to minimize
my pores and to help provide a smooth canvas. She follows this with a
light-covering, hydrating foundation, which she applies by using a
beauty sponge. Next, she uses a concealer to brighten up the area under
my eyes. She then uses a soft pink creamish colored blush to give my
cheeks a radiant glow. She uses a fine tipped brow pencil to lightly
fill in any sparse areas in my eyebrows. She curls my lashes with some
mascara to help make my eyes pop a bit more. To finish, she uses a
tinted lip balm in a rosy shade, giving my lips a soft, glossy look.
"There, perfect," Priya says. She has always been very into makeup and
fashion. I expect that when she graduates high school, she'll pursue a
career in one of them or both.
"That was a lot," I say.
"What? No it wasn't," she says, "I just did a light amount."
"That's a light amount?!" I ask.
"Yes," she says, "And you were paying attention, right? I mean, I don't
expect you to get it right away, but it helps if you make an effort."
"Yes, I was doing my best to pay attention," I say.
"Good," she looks at me and says, "I did a pretty good job if I do say
so myself."
I look at my reflection in the mirror. I look so pretty. I can hardly
believe it's me. I can't help but admire Piper's work as I look in the
mirror and make different expressions with my new face.
"How long are you going to be peacocking?" Priya asks, "I want to take
that picture."
I stop admiring myself in the mirror and grow slightly embarrassed that
I was doing that in front of Piper. "Right, the picture," I say.
"Okay, let's move over here," Piper says. She has me stand in the part
of her room that has the best lighting. She takes her phone out and
says, "Smile."
I smile, but Priya says, "Not like that."
"I don't know what you mean," I say.
"It can't just be a boring plain smile," she says, "You're my sister
now. You look good and you should know it. That knowledge should drive
you to pose confidently."
"You know I've never been good with confidence," I say.
"I know, but can you just try?" she asks.
"Okay, I'll try," I say. I attempt to remember how I felt when I was
posing in the mirror. That feeling of being pretty and how good that
made me feel. I seem to smile in a more natural way as Piper says,
"That's perfect." She takes the picture.
She looks at it for a bit before walking over to show me. "It turned
out great," she says. I can't believe what I'm looking at. I look
pretty and confident. It's probably, no definitely, the best picture
anyone has ever taken of me. And it's not because of the lighting or my
sister's expert makeup skills. It's because, for the first time in a
long time, if ever, I looked and felt confident.
"Dinner's ready!" I hear Mohit shout.
Priya and I walk downstairs and join Dad, who is already sitting down
at the dinner table. As Mohit places the plates. I had a little guilty that my brother is serving the food. So I told my brother to sit and I started to serve. After that my father didn't talk anything and went to his room. After that I cleaned the dishes. Mohit was standing there and seeing me. I went to bed with same clothes. I spend the next day trying to keep my mind off of everything as much
as possible. I play my favorite video games, watch my favorite TV
shows. Anything that will distract me is good. I also inform my institute that I'll be out for a while.
Even later, there is an announcement that
tomorrow, the Prime minister is going to address the nation concerning this
strange event.
I spend the next day killing time while we wait for the Prime minister's
address. Later, when Priya returns from school, Mohit, her, and I, sit
and watch it together. Dad couldn't care less and is upstairs watching
TV in his bedroom.
The Prime minister stands in front of a podium and addresses us all, "I am
here today to speak about this worldwide phenomenon that has affected
millions of people, including many Indian's. This phenomenon, which we
are dubbing, The Gender Reassignment Event, or G.R.E., has caused a
gender change in those affected. A gender change that science currently
doesn't understand. We want to help those who have been affected, so we
are hastily setting up areas in each state's capitol. Anyone who has
been affected must bring either dental records or fingerprint records
along with someone who can vouch for you. We will do all we can to
verify your identities and get you back to your normal lives.
Currently, we are working around the clock to set up these facilities.
By using already existing structures, we expect most will be ready in
two to three days. Despite this strange event, let us move forward with
strength and in unity." He steps away.
Someone else takes his place and says to check a specific website for
your state's location for the facility to verify your identity. The
website will also say when the facility will be up and running.
"Whenever it is ready, I'll take you," Mohit says, "As your brother, I can
vouch for you."
"I'll need to get my dental records," I say, "I've have to
get my fingerprints before."
"Yeah, but I think I'll have to request them," Mohit says, "You could be
some random stranger for all they know while I at least, am definitely
your family member."
"I guess so," I say, "You should do it tomorrow. The sooner the
better."
"I agree," Mohit says.
We make an appointment for tomorrow. But Priya told first we need to do shopping for her and then fix her appointment. But Mohit and I didn't have any money left. After that my dad came down put the card on the table and told just buy what ever you need and don't buy any useless things.
After that I and Priya went into our rooms to sleep. Next day morning I woke early and scrolling through my phone. But entered into room with a clothes and told me get ready. As I came out wearing the dress. It was very uncomfortable and irritating. I told Priya it was very uncomfortable and tight at so many places. She told it's okay sis.
After that we went for shopping. Mohit drive the car. As soon we enter the shopping mall Priya told see Mohit we will take time and so enjoy your time. Priya and I went brought the clothes and necessary accessories
